Gooooodbye, comm! + What I've commented on. :)
So, I think that the whole comm course in general was pretty good. :) And I think that if I didn't slack off and procrastinate, all of my stuff could've turned out really good .. x)Anyways, our first project was the multiple exposure. I did it with my friend, Diana, and we had fun doing it. :) It didn't really take long either, which was good. I liked this project alot. :) I wish I had a picture of it, but I don't know where it is, unfortunately.
The next project was the collage. I got kind of carried away with this one, and put WAY too many pictures and sort of forgot about the whole theme of the project.. :) But I really liked this project too! I was okay with how mine turned out, I just wish I started it earlier!
The project after that was the illustrator project.. which I'll admit to starting REALLY late. Vectorizing was pretty fun, and it was pretty addicting once you actually got to doing it. It was suuuuper confusing at first, but I ended up liking it a lot. :) I vectorized Ed Westwick (<3), but I wasn't really happy with how it turned out. I think it could have been a lot better, but that's okay. :)
Our last project was our moviemaker video. This was probably my favourite project in the course, because I love making videos with my friends. :) So we started planning this video early, and first planned to get it in for the art show. We also ended up having four people in our group, because of a little mix up (.. oops.) Anyways, we planned to have it done for the art show, but that didn't work because we forgot things couldn't get signed out during art show prep. :( But we ended up finishing it later anyways, and ended up with the theme "I Am.. Random". :) I reaaally liked how this one ended up! It makes me happy whenever I see it, haha. If I ever get a chance to upload it anywhere, I'll post it up!
So to sum this all up, the comm course was actually a really good one. It's a great course when you actually put time and effort into it (and don't rush everything till the end of the year!) If I could go back in time, I would definitely start everything when were supposed to instead of leaving it last minute. But yeah, I ended up liking this course in the end. :)

The Campaign Trail.
Wasssssuuppppp?!I loved these commercials! I sort of remember the whole 'wassssuppppp?' thing from a really long time ago, and it was a really good memory when we watched it in comm. :) This was a really smart commercial for Obama to create, for it brought light to many situations in which he could change - homelessness, unemployment, war, and much more. This commercial added comedy to serious issues, and still made Obama look great. I don't know about you, but the ending of the 2008 commercial made me really happy and smiley inside. :) It made me believe that Obama really could bring change to the issues happening in the US right now. And to this day, I still believe that he can do it. Go Obama! :)
I think that this commercial was truly a great choice for Obama to use as a campaign. Like I said, it really made me believe that he could bring the change which the US is needing right now. The commercial felt pretty real, and I felt like I could connect with the actors in a way because their situations were pretty realistic (but only a little bit overexaggerated). I think that this campaign was so effective, and that Obama was truly the most deserving winner.
Change, that's wassssup! :)

"Everything is amazing & nobody's happy"
I think that Louis CK was very funny, and at the same time very true. We've become so dependent on technology these days that majority of us wouldn't know how to cope if everything were to just disappear. Take the blackout that happened a few years back for example. I remember when everything suddenly stopped - I was in shock. I didn't know what to do, and I remember sitting bored for about a day. But in the end, I think that the blackout really was a good thing for us. By the end of the blackout, many of us had a chance to reconnect with family and do things together with people that we wouldn't usually do. We found ways to occupy ourselves without electricity, which I think was really good. Though, I remember being overjoyed when the lights came back on.. x) Anyways, I think that we all need to take the time away from technology sometimes to truly appreciate the things we have on our hands right now. Half the things we have, our parents didn't even dream of when we were younger! And now technology is increasing faster than ever. To be completely honest, I don't know what I'd do without my cellphone, iPod, or computer. These things have become such necessities in our lives, and I think that Louis CK's video really opens our eyes to what a technological world we now live in.Eccentrick art show - 2009! :)
I think that the art show this year was a big success.. but not that that's really a big surprise. I love the art show every year. :) I remember the first art show I went to. I think it was about four years ago, and my sister had art in it.. I think it might've been Merge. But I remember that I was fascinated with everything I saw there. And this year was no different. :) Last year's art show was also amazing. I loved Echo! But I think that Eccentrick was equally, if not more amazing than the past art shows I've been to. Sometimes you have to wonder how art pulls it off every year, but they do every time. I think that the only bad thing there is about art show is that it's so addicting, as in, you don't want to stop going to back. During art show week, I always seem to find me telling myself not to go back to the art show, no matter how much I want to go - that's how much I love it. :)
As for my favourite art piece, I don't think I can choose! I always love everything at the art show. But I think that some of my favourites were the stuffed dolls in design, the 'I Am' videos in comm, and a ton of stuff from art. I kind of really regret not being able to see any of the film videos, though. Oh, and you also can't forget the performances! My friends Erika Bautista & Angel Lopez (erikarosebautista & staarshineee on YouTube, subscriiiiiibe!) got to perform everyday, and I absolutely loved hearing them perform. So I think that those were my favourite parts of the art show.
So, I think that Eccentrick was a huge success. Congrats art, on yet another amazing one. :) I'm most definitely looking forward to art show 2010!
